Fitness update – My 6 week plan to lose weight

Realisation

Anyone else fall in and out of love with the gym? Because same! I know I’m two months two early for a ” New year new me” but this past weekend I really had to give myself a reality check. So I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that a few of my garments were hugging my curves a lot tighter than normal, however I shrugged it off and didn’t take much notice of this until. My boyfriend decided we should go out for dinner perfect who doesn’t love a spontaneous date night? I have this gorgeous LBD ( Little Black Dress ) which I have been wanting to wear for ages, so of course this was my outfit of choice. Once I had wiggled it over my hips and pulled the straps up I was already more or less out of breath. But I was determined to wear it so I didn’t let that phase me ,until it was time to pull the zip up BIG MISTAKE! Long story short the zip broke and I was unable to wear the dress 😩, I was devastated to say the least. Not only would I be unable to wear the dress again, but I was right I have actually gained weight. I mean it’s not all bad it is winter after all, so at least my teddy coats and chunky knit jumpers will help to hide the excess weight haha. But in all seriousness I needed to come up with a plan pronto, so I decided to write a blog post on what I plan on doing to lose weight. I figured if I write a post about it and promise to keep you guys updated. I have to follow through with them right?

The main goal?

My main goal is to lose approx 1 stone, although I would be happy with half a stone to baby steps and all that jazz. As well as shedding the pounds at the same time I really would like to tone my bum, thighs, work on my upper body strength and gain visible abs.

How am I going to achieve it

Losing weight is by no means easy and is definitely easier said than done. I always think the first week is the hardest but once you get into routine you have pretty much nailed it. I plan on going to the gym 4-5 times a week, this is quite excessive but because I want to hit my goal weight by December 25th I have to put in the extra work.

Food glorious food, I will need to be eating a lot less carbs if I want hit my goal weight in such a short period. Instead I will opt for whole meal foods such as brown bread, brown pasta and brown rice etc. A key thing which will really help me on my journey is meal preparation, gotta love a meal prep. Especially when you have had a tough workout at the gym, the last thing you want to do is go home and cook food.

Cute Nutrition

Meal replacement shakes, now this isn’t for everyone and I wouldn’t really recommend them. However I have heard so much good things about the Cute Nutrition company I  decided to give them a try to see how I get on. I plan on just replacing one meal a day, which will be breakfast. I have also created myself a chart so I can keep track of my weight loss and make sure I don’t fall off the wagon. This will also be used to motivate me and keep me working towards the end goal. For daily motivation I have a picture of Brittany Renner ( @bundleofbrittany ) as my screen saver, she is my ultimate girl crush and body goals. So when I can’t be bothered to workout or I am craving bad food I just take a look at my screen and get inspired all over again.

I love a challenge, so I am super excited to see how well I do with this. I am firm believer in the law of attraction, so I know if I put my mind to it I will 100% see the results.

    1. Aww I’m sad you feel gross about your weight! I bet you are fine just the way you are, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to improve ones self! I am glad this post has motivated you, that really means a lot xxx
